Our friendly experienced team is always caring and accommodating to our patients. If you or your family have been to our office in the past, you will certainly recognize the many familiar faces. Most of our staff have been with our office for over 15 years, some up to 40 years, even preceding Dr. Cottingham herself. They have seen multiple generations of families over the years, treating kids, parents, and grandparents. Their longevity represents their enjoyment of and commitment to our patients and each other. You can be confident that those familiar faces will be there for you on your next visit. And you'll love the wonderful atmosphere they create, as they are always finding ways to make our patients happy and comfortable while providing the highest level of service possible.
Connie
New Patient Coordinator
Hello and welcome to Cottingham Orthodontics! My name is Connie and we’ll meet at your first visit with Dr. Cottingham. I’ll explain the treatment process, present and review your personal treatment plan, work with you on financials, and answer questions. I’m a people person and I love helping patients and families feel comfortable in our office, and watching each person’s new smile develop!
I started in the dental field in 1983, have a Dental Assisting degree, am certified in dental X-rays, and joined the practice in 1985. We have a great environment here, as Dr. Cottingham takes great care of her staff and her patients. Likewise, our team is amazing and we help one another so we can give you the best experience and deliver your best new smile!
My husband and I live in Zionsville. We have three children, two sons-in-law, and one grandson. Being with family and friends is my greatest love, though I also enjoy boating, traveling, and Colts games.

Insurance Coordinator
Welcome to Cottingham Orthodontics! I’m Danielle and I’m here to help with everything related to insurance. In addition to verifying coverage, I submit claims and handle follow-up, ensuring you’re able to maximize your benefits. I also help with scheduling appointments. It’s amazing to watch each person’s changes during their treatment: I’m excited to see your love for your beautiful new smile!
I studied dental assisting in Career Center at Ben Davis High School, followed by PCI Dental Assisting, and joined the practice in 2003. Our close-knit team feels like family. Dr. Cottingham and my coworkers all support and care for one another as we work together to give you a laughter-filled experience!
My husband Will and I live in Speedway with our adorable son, Liam. We love to do anything that involves being together and outdoors. Beach vacations are a must for us!
Ellen
Orthodontic Assistant
Hi and welcome! I’m Ellen, one of Dr. Cottingham’s orthodontic assistants, and we’ll meet in the clinic. I assist the doctor in placing and adjusting braces, provide patient education, and (best of all), I help with removing braces and revealing new smiles. I love making a difference in our patients’ confidence through their smiles and am excited to see your self-confidence grow!
I started my career here with Dr. Cottingham in 1999, when I was 19 and was trained by her and the staff. Dr. Cottingham creates a fun and lively environment for our patients and team and the team is great! Many of us have worked together for many years, so we’re like family, and we feel that way about our newer teammates and our patients!
My husband Dustin and I have been married for over 20 years. We have three kids, plus a Goldendoodle, Briar. Traveling with family and friends, reading, and being in the sunshine are my favorite things.
Heather
Orthodontic Assistant
Hello and welcome! My name is Heather and I’ll be one of the people who assists Dr. Cottingham with your treatment. In addition to chairside assistance I take impressions, X-rays, and photos, prepare for placing brackets, assist with adjustments, and pour and trim models. I also make clear retainers, sterilize instruments, and offer lots of patient education and encouragement. I love being part of a potentially life-changing transformation for our patients and can’t wait to see your new smile!
I started in the dental field in 2006, have certification from PCI, and was welcomed to Cottingham Orthodontics in 2008. It is rare to find a doctor who is acutely in tune with her staff and her patients/families, but Dr. Cottingham is that doctor. She and our team are amazing and we are all dedicated to keeping you comfortable and excited about getting a new smile!
Family – my husband, two daughters, and our dog and our cat – keeps me busy outside the office. I love spending time with friends and family, cooking, hanging by the pool, vacationing, gardening, and reading.

Orthodontic Assistant
I became a dental assistant in 2017 after attending Indianapolis Dental Assistant School. I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of Cottingham Orthodontics for all of my career! My team is like my extended family. We all work together so well and help each other grow to be our best selves.
I’m really excited to meet you and help you feel comfortable during your procedure or adjustment. It’s important to me to build connections with people I meet—I think it helps make coming to the orthodontist a lot of fun!
My life at home revolves around my husband, son, two French bulldogs, and one English bulldog. I love spending time with them!
Macey
Orthodontic Assistant/Lab Tech
Welcome! I’m Macey and I work in the clinic, which is where we’ll meet. I assist Dr. Cottingham and the staff wherever and however I’m needed, handle sterilization, and make clear retainers. I love being part of changing smiles and watching people’s self-esteem grow!
I’m new to the field, having taken a dental assistant class at a career center in high school. I then got certified to be a dental assistant at the Dental Assistants School of Indiana in 2021, worked in dentistry for six months, and then came to Cottingham Ortho in 2022. I love that Dr. Cottingham and the team take time to train me while I assist them and love this happy and healthy environment. Everyone here feels like family: Dr. Cottingham, the team, and our patients!
I love spending time with my family, especially my young niece and nephew. My favorite show is The Vampire Diaries: I could rewatch it any day.
